Book Previews

I love to write I've been working on two major stories that are coming along pretty good so far. Here are the book covers I made for them.

Halloween!

I had the most wonderful time with my best friends this year for Halloween. My church had a party and that was basically all it did when it comes to trick-or-treating.
After that my good friend Kylie had a movie night at her house. We watched When A Stranger Calls. It was freaky, but mostly just suspense, not much action. When it comes to scary movies... let's just say it doesn't work. I scream at the completely wrong time and then end up laughing at the actual scary part. Best Halloween ever.

Long Awaited Update

Happy almost Halloween! This year I'm going as a black cat.
So much has happened in the past few weeks. My mind is still whirling and my heart is still singing. I'm writing a story that is sure to make it through the publisher.
I will post picture as soon as I can.

Loving the Losses

High school is still great, but there are few things I wouldn't mind changing. Like for instance the orchestra.
I'm still getting used to the way things are run here at KHS, and the orchestra definitely isn't the same.

Back to School Note

For some people school is a necessary way of life, for others, dirt under their fingernails.
I love school and the opportunities it brings. So far, this has been the best three weeks of my life! I have a good feeling the rest of the year is going to be great...

Writer's Block

Just when the flame seems to be at its brightest, bringing promise of new life and hope, it dwindles and dies.
My heart's burning desire to write has lost its flame and flare.
When will this era of loss end?

Busy Summer Days...

It is now mid July. Wow, time flies! Here's an update on my life:

Since May I have been working on my Region music.

It's beautiful isn't it? Well I still have a long way to go.

Finally, I am painting my room. It's not quite done yet, but the final product will be amazing.

On the Way

This past week I went to Austin. My cousin Will from Vegas had a national volleyball tournament there, so my family and I drove three hours to see him....We had a very interesting drive.
This grasshopper decided to hang out on the windshield for awhile. And this tree looks like something out of a Doctor Seuss book.
On the way there, mom surprised us by visiting the Blue Bell Creamery. Instead of staying at a hotel, Ariel's roommate Alexis from college who lives in Austin let us spend the night at her house. Her family is crazy! And obsessed! Here is Jake in one of the many Lord of the Rings Helmets. Now I want Arwen's Necklace. That put an end to day one in the capital of Texas.

Austin

Will and his team were amazing! I've never had so much fun at a sports game (Will is #8).

After the tournament, we toured down town Austin. The coolest place was the capital. It looks just like the White House, but since everything in Texas is bigger and better, it's a foot taller.

5th of July

Yesterday morning I woke up at 5am. After loading the car, my family and I departed for lake Conroe. We were out on the water at 6:30. The next few hours were spend wakeboarding and tubing.

Pizza Night!

Today, we had a make your own pizza bar. They were as fun to eat as they were to make! Yum :]

My Day as a Tourist

Although my summer has been packed so far, none of it has been well... fun. Today my mom decided to go to the Houston Science Museum. The butterfly exhibit was especially neat.

Summer Kickoff

Well the first official week of summer is drawing to a close. So far, mine has been well... eventful.
My first day at the pool I received a nasty sunburn all over my shoulders. Monday through Thursday was orchestra region camp. The past couple of days I've been shopping like crazy and packing.
Today I got my braces. So far they don't hurt much, but I there is more to come. Hopefully lots of homemade ice cream will help.

Inspiration

Summer is many things. It is the long awaited vacation for kids at school. A time without rules, desks, and homework. I have made a few plans already for this year. My good friend Tina and I have decided to do everything from movie nights to weekly visits to the gym.

We have made a goal to finish writing our book by the end of the summer. Hopefully the daily brainstorming sessions over the phone will pay off.

Things are looking good. This year is going to be much better than the last.

The Great Awakening

It's that time again: Summer. School is out as of next week. The Texas sun is as hot as ever. Luckily the pool opens up on Monday. Soon I get to sleep in, shop, waste time and read. I LOVE SUMMER!

Prom!

Saturday was Homeschool Prom. I'm not homeschooled, but I went and had a fabulous time! I met and danced with many people i've never seen before in my life. The theme was "An Evening in Paris" and what an evening it was...

For my Communication Applications (aka Speech) class, we have to do an informative speech. I chose my topic on Calligraphy.

I love writing all fancy, and since I have a quill, I thought it would be a perfect subject for me.

As you all know, I love to read. It is my life/love.

Well, I finnished a new book. It has made its way to my top 10 list.

For Language Arts, we have a choice read. The topic is historical fiction. Since this is about the French Revolution, I picked it. Hope it's as good as it sounds!

A Wonderful Weekend

I have to admit, it has been the best few days of my life :] On Friday, (my birthday) I went on a campout with all of my friends. That was amazing, and everyone had a blast! Some of the things I got were, a feather quill, gel pens, a journal, flowers, and more!
Saturday, my orchestra went to Kleinfest, a competition to get us ready for UIL, a bigger contest. We did really good in Sight Reading and in our concert.
Over all, it was great.

Birthday Wishes :]

For my birthday (which is on Friday) my older brother Rees got me a cd. It's Sacred Cello by Steven Sharp Nelson. Every piece is absolutely GORGEOUS and I love it so much. But that's not all, Rees happened to get my cd signed by Nelson himself!!! This is so far, my favorite gift.

Spring!

Flowers a blooming, the grass is green, and my dog needs to be shaved again. Spring is finally amongst us. Here in Texas, things are starting to really warm up. Hope you enjoy my new playlist and decorations!

We had a family photo shoot in December. Some we took and some were professionally done.

Lindsey's Kidnap

It was Lindsey's 12th birthday...

So we decided to kidnap her.

At around 6am, my friends and I walked over to her house. We tied her up and blindfolded her.

After than we re-decorated her room with balloons and streamers and fed her breakfast.

YAY! :D
